DESIDERATUM

Jeslyn Collective is committed to bringing you writing that offers up educational and possibly new perspectives on understanding the things that fill the space around you.

We are a collective of struggling artists, academics, and writers.  We strive to pull from our collective knowledge, and our goal is not to be experts in only one field.  We come from backgrounds ranging from poetry to philosophy, Brecht to Backstreet Boys (a valid cultural source!).  We favor, instead, writing which embraces a wide range of topics that is stimulating for people both learned as well as lay.

We are always looking to expand our community.  If you feel you match up to the above descriptions, please send an email to:

Include your name, your blog address and a brief statement on why you'd like to be a part of our collective, as well as the intended future of your blog.

You may submit multiple blogs for review.

We do not accept any blog into our supportive circle that may be deemed sexist, homophobic, or racist in any way.  We're stingy about that.

If accepted, you will be kindly requested to post a link to the JC website on your sidebar (where your logo will be proudly displayed amongst our current blog logos), and to sometimes check in on the other blogs.  We encourage commenting and linking amongst our community whenever appropriate.

If you are not accepted at this time, you will receive information back as to why.
